Grosse Ile House

I was station at Naval Air Station Grosse Ile, MI while in the US Navy. This house was only about a mile from the base on West River Road. I took this picture on my first trip back after I had got out of the Navy. I had always wanted to live here but my job kept me in North Carolina. Sorry to say this home along with several others have been torn down in the name of progress to built homes that are larger and newer but in my opinion not as nice.
